Rochdale Triathlon Club early season duathlon. This year we have decided to add a second duathlon to our calendar to allow athletes to measure improvement over the season and to get in some early season race practice. Being a Bank Holiday Monday, we have secured the track from 13:00 through to 19:00, allowing time to familiarise with the circuit before the race and will also allow for some track time after. The duathlon consists of a 3k run, 10k bike, and a final 2k run, and the bike leg is draft legal. As a result road bikes only, no TT bikes, and use of tri bars is not permitted (and the layout of the track really isn't suited to their use anyway). The event will be chip timed. Full details will be sent out nearer the time. If anyone has any friends or family that would like to volunteer, marshalls are always very welcome and will be given full training on what they need to do, and all jobs will be straightforward. Refunds are not available, though we will allow transfers to another athlete if you contact Matthew Brown at narked@gmail.com. In the event of the race having to be cancelled due to unforseen circumstances all efforts will be made to provide an alternative date.
